Oldham Innovative Research was established by proprietor, Dr. Erin Oldham, in January 2008. As Dr. Oldham finished her Ph.D. at the University of California at Los Angeles she began her career doing research around attachment and resiliency among children in child care centers and family child care homes in Los Angeles and San Diego. At Child Trends, Inc in Washington, D.C., she moved into public policy research on child outcomes among children impacted by welfare reform. After moving to Maine, Dr. Oldham worked as an Assistant Research Professor at the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine and continued her work on early childhood and early childhood education. She expanded her work to include children with special needs, early intervention, youth development, and domestic violence. In 2001, Dr. Oldham entered the private sector as co-founder of Glenwood Research LLC. After developing relationships with many clients and realizing that research and evaluation can have a personal touch, Dr. Oldham followed her entrepreneurial spirit and created her own small business known as Oldham Innovative Research. Oldham Innovative Research is staffed by six full-time employees and many part-time data collectors.
